Tulane’s inaugural Tulane Takeover: Miami will have one purpose – to connect current students with alumni, parents and industry professionals in South Florida who can assist in their continued career development related to internships and full-time opportunities. This event is scheduled during Tulane’s Winter Break and is a great opportunity to connect with our current students who are eager to learn about careers and companies. This effort is a build-out from from very successful Tulane Takeover events in New York, Los Angeles, and New Orleans over the last few years.

Focused Career Conversations are ongoing series of events intended to provide opportunities for students to meet alumni & parents interested in networking for further career connections. We arrange our facility in a way that allows for industry and company representatives to network with our students in an organized format. The room resembles a “job/career fair,” however we have alumni, parents and friends stationed at specific tables representing their industries, companies and careers.
We present these events as opportunities to network (not recruit) as we want our professionals (alumni and parents) to attend without any pressure of providing specific recruiting objectives that students may expect. The purpose of attending this event is to grow a network of professionals that have a connection to Tulane. Students should not expect any immediate recruiting outcomes.
We will provide our alumni, parents and partners with signage representing their industries and companies. Students will have a list of those participating partners to review ahead of time, so those who come speak to you will have the opportunity to ensure they are prepared for the conversations.
