Tulane Alumni & Parents are the heart and soul of the outreach efforts for students. Without the efforts of our alumni and parents we would not be successful in so many areas of the shared Tulane experience, especially career success for current students. We value the time our alumni and parents  give to participate in events like this and we hope it will continue as we plan Tulane Takeover. Here is how you can be involved:

1. Register to participate in Focused Career Conversations

Tulane Takeover: New York

Focused Career Conversations are 2-hour sessions whereby students can “focus” their networking efforts by visiting with alumni and parents they want to meet by visiting them at a pre-assigned table in the venue space. Each participating alumnus or parent will be given space at a table and an identifier indicating either their company affiliation or industry to better help students identify whom they would like to meet. This is not a recruiting event and we do not expect alumni or parents to prepare any materials related to recruiting unless they choose to do so on their own. We do encourage alumni and parents to facilitate any additional connections within their organization for students that they deem to be sufficiently prepared for further referral.
When: Friday, October 13 (New York); Homecoming (Friday, November 3)

2. Participate in a Panel Discussion

Tulane Takeover: New York

We will arrange for panels of alumni and parents to provide a moderated Q&A Career Conversation to share working experiences with students in attendance. Each of these panels will likely include 3-5 panelists and will generally be arranged by industry. We hope to have panelists who come from a myriad of backgrounds, experiences and college majors. Given the time constraints of the day, we will not be able to provide panels for all possible industries.
When: Friday, October 13 (New York, each lasting for 45 minutes)

3. Participate in a Small Group Discussion

Tulane Takeover: New York

For those alumni and alumni with specialized backgrounds or choose to speak to a small group instead of a seminar, we will arrange Career Conversation Roundtables with 6-10 students and you sharing your experiences and answering questions. We will arrange and confirm these based on alumni and parents participating and student interest.
When: Friday, October 13 –  (New York, each lasting for 45 minutes) – these will run concurrent with the panel discussions.
